Pokemon fans gets a moment to jump for joy, new details are coming out thanks to the folks at Pokejungle as they’ve gotten their hands on some unique scans relating to Black and White 2. We’ll try to preserve the format but make it a little easier to read along. Keep in mind this is a rough translation they’ve managed based on the 2CH scans that popped up so there will be some vague sections based just on what the magazine gave up for info.
Scoop 1 talks about White Kyurem’s attacks.
Scoop 2 talks about the secret of the frozen map. Caption reads “What happened here?”. This takes place 2 years after Black and White.
Scoop 3 says new pokemon will be in Unova, ie: old pokemon. The pokedex has about 300 pokemon now.
Scoop 4, new protagonists! Caption “Surprisingly, they are different characters than BW. This is unusual for Pokemon series. They are sporty and mature. Of course you can choose from Male or Female.”
Scoop 5… new characters! Blue haired character is your rival and is from Hiougi City. His caption is “I’m gonna get mad now!” A new mysterious researcher named Akuroma! He’s studying about the strength of Pokemon. Sometimes he’ll help you… There’s a new gym leader named Homika (guitar player) and she is the “Master of Poison”. She will also appear in the anime on June 14th! Shizui is a new gym leader as well specializing in water types! He will give you advice.
Scoop 6, this adventure will begin from Hiougi City. It is southwest of Unova. It is a very hilly location. Male character is standing in front of his house. Hiougi has a PokeCenter and trainer’s school! Unova has many new facilities. Caption by golden building says “What do the blue and red objects mean? Looks fun!” Under that screenshot, on the road, the caption says “There are many stores! What can you buy?” Next screenshot is a glass-encased road underwater. Appears the preorder bonus is shown, could be a poster.
The related scans have been included, it’s a large chunk of information dug out of the magazine in just a few pages. Also included is character art relating to the game and tiny screens on those pages.
Jonathan Hickman just launched his second series today from Image Comics and it’s already in back order with distributors, SECRET #1 is a team effort with Ryan Bodenheim and just barely touched down for fans. The team is excited about the news and already talking about the news.
“Well, I couldn’t be happier for Ryan. He’s worked extremely hard on this project, and together we think we’ve delivered an extremely interesting, and timely, tale,” explained Hickman. “That retailers and fans are as excited for the book as we are, only makes the entire experience more rewarding.”
The second printing will arrive on the same day as SECRET #2 on May 9th so fans will have to hold out for a while if they can’t find it locally. We did manage to find a copy so we’ll have coverage soon for everyone on the new series.
In the meantime a little bit on SECRET
A complex tale of private security firms, government corruption, and conspiracy, SECRET comes out a month after Hickman’s new series with Nick Pitarra THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS sold out of its first issue.

Unit is on the move and Hope is right in his path, given his current path of destruction her very life could fall into the balance. The X-Men while teamed up with the Avengers split off to save their most precious friend and ally from her doom and possibly the death of mutant-kind. Time is everything and the whole unit with Cyclops rushes in to save the day, unfortunately being too quick to attack leaves a vulnerability that shatters them as they engage in combat against Unit. It’s a tough and painful battle to read through, even at their best they’re severely outclassed against this super machine, instead of cheering them on it was cringe inducing each step of the way. Fortunately it does wrap up so the story can meld with AvX, although it is strange to have both the X-Men and the Avengers on the same side for even just a moment knowing what has already come their way.
The issue moves with a quick pace, Hope is stunned to be taken in such a swift motion and the X-Men launch into battle mode but it’s not enough. Unit is thinking so many steps ahead of them it’s difficult for any tactical advantages to come forward, even their strongest allies against a force like this are nullified by his quick calculations and strength. Really they are in a case where they’re outclassed and largely uninformed about their opponent and it rips at them as they fight desperately to stop him. It’s a solid read as it steps aside from the usual idea of dominance and team work saving the day for the group, instead of just a single ally shaken, the whole group falls victim.
As a prelude to AvX it’s a solid issue, it was easy to feel bad for the X-Men against Unit given how far above their level he was. There is a mystery that will leave readers hanging though, before it’s over there’s a special twist with Hope and Unit that hasn’t even been touched upon in the other books yet, what will the super being ask of her? What does this mean for his own containment in the universe after this encounter? It’s a solid read and wrap-up to the tag team story between the Avengers and X-Men on this case.

Avengers vs X-Men is rolling at full speed, this week we see The New Avengers back story leading into the showdown with the X-Men on the island. Tense times are surrounding the team, with people still angry over the latest Norman Osborn escape and Luke Cage and Jessica Jones at the heart of it calling it a mess would be an understatement. The appearance of the Phoenix Force calls the group to put their differences aside though as their current concerns could very well vanish in a whim if the Phoenix finds a host and goes unchecked on Earth.
For those coming off of AvX expecting everyone to start swinging, this isn’t the case, we get a flashback as they leap out of the carrier to the big meeting and learn a large chunk of story relating to Luke Cage and his missing wife and child. The team has a common goal, to see tomorrow and they’ll now do anything they can to make sure it happens, while Cap and Iron man are central figures for the Avengers, the spotlight moves to Cage in the story as he’ll do anything on this planet to make sure his child is able to have a future.
Unfortunately New Avengers #24 is incredibly short and could have even served as a better place during the prequel to this arc, having the whole story take place in a moment as they jump from their ship toward the X-Men feels like it would be a cinematic move but the actual arc started last week only moves up a slight turn leaving more of a fizzle for impact.
Mike Deodato and Will Conrad take up the task of creating the entire team and giving life to them in this tense time for the Avengers, Luke Cage as a spotlight figure shows his emotional wear in each panel as he makes his plea on national tv. There’s also a monumental moment as they gather at the table, faces grim to the news coming forward as they know a meeting of this size is nothing to take lightly. Key moments were Panther, Storm, Wolverine and even hulk in the scene as they could only feel the worst about to hit their lives.
As Luke Cage looks to take up a central role in AvX I would say it’s a safe bet to invest in New Avengers #24 to get a feel for what he’ll be bringing to the table in this fight, for him he’ll have everything to lose.

With the first episode grossing over 8.3 Million viewers it shouldn’t be surprising when Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming announced that Game Of Thrones will be back for a season 3 “Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them,” said Lombardo. “We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.” For an inside look checkout HBO.com
LOS ANGELES, April 10, 2012 – HBO has renewed GAME OF THRONES for a third season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. “Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them,” said Lombardo. “We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.
”Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, GAME OF THRONES is an epic drama set in the world of Westeros, where ambitious men and women of both honor and ill-repute live in a land whose summers and winters can last years. The Emmy®- and Golden Globe-winning fantasy series began its ten-episode second season Sunday, April 1 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), with other episodes debuting subsequent Sundays at the same time. Among the early critical praise for the second season, News-day called GAME OF THRONES “the best show on television,” while the Los Angeles Times termed the series “a cinematic feast” and “masterful.” The Wall Street Journal hailed the show as “magnificent” and USA Today called it “near perfection.”According to early data, GAME OF THRONES’ season two premiere has already accumulated a gross audience of 8.3 million viewers, and is on track to easily surpass the season one average of 9.3 million viewers.
Season two cast members include: Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aidan Gillen, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Maisie Williams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Sophie Turner, Jack Gleeson and Alfie Allen. Season two credits: The executive producers of GAME OF THRONES are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger; co-executive producers, George R.R. Martin, Vanessa Taylor, Alan Taylor, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis; produced by Bernadette Caulfield.
Dale Keown cranks out the latest variant to Batman as he sets off against an army of Talons eager to destroy Gotham, there is a bit of an odd story to the cover though, DC didn’t exactly inform him what was going on in the story for that issue.
“What’s not to love about drawing the coolest character in comics?” the artist Dale Keown told THE SOURCE. “I wasn’t given any back story so I went with the action shot that would fit into just about any storyline. One of my go-to poses is to draw the character leaping out towards the reader. I hope I get to draw Batman again soon.”
Sometimes a cover doesn’t need to be dead on the topic of the story, sometimes it just needs to look badass, Keown gets it done in this cover with ease.
The crossover “Night of the Owls” that #9 will center around hasn’t kicked off just yet, it’s due to start with Batman #8 which arrives next week. Keep an eye on your local retailer or your mailbox so you can check out the new arc kicking off that will span across the franchise.
DC is hard at work shaping their brand, after The New 52 they had a new target, their own collectible shop and how they might be able to improve upon that. Today we see the fruits of that labor with DC Collectibles, the new brand will take over DC Direct and focus on expanding horizons for the publisher. In May DC Collectibles will work to expand the online store and offer its entire product line for sale on the web, it’ll be a huge welcome from individuals but shops may feel a little burned on the shift to allow total access but they’ll still be getting support from DC with their store locator system pointing fans who want to see items in person to their nearest shop for that item.
DC is taking all areas into account and striving to focus the service on the fans and keep delivering unique products that they love. They also recognize that fans do like exclusives though and so they’re keeping it interesting by bringing online exclusives into the picture as May will see two special items next month and custom prints for the web.
Flashpoint Action Figure Box Set (Exclusive #1) – Pictured in gallery
Emperor Aquaman (Previously unreleased)
$500 Wayne Casino Poker Chip
Heroes of the DC Universe (Exclusive #2) – Pictured in gallery
Blackest Night Green Lantern and Sinestro Bust
The prints will take themselves away from just comic artwork and expand into different themes as well, 20 images in total will be available online in thick archival paper print form. For those attending C2E2 this weekend there will be a chance to catch a look at the new store and special word on goodies coming to the shop later this year.
Here’s the latest trailer for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 6, this trailer has some interesting parts like Chris and Jake Muller meeting and when Ada Wong captures Jake Muller and tells him he is son of the one and only Albert Wesker the last part of the trailer shows a potential plot twist when Leon and Chris meet up.
