Mass Effect 3 Demo comes with a limited Gold Subscription (limtied time only)

So you’re planning to download the Mass Effect 3 demo on XBL but you have no idea how you’ll get to play online… Well. Bioware and Microsoft have teamed up to solve that problem. Once you download the demo you’ll have a free limited run of Xbox Live Gold from then until the release of the game.

The question stands, will you be out celebrating Valentines day with that special someone or that special Xbox? I guess only time will tell, keep an eye on the market and load it up as soon as you can though because there will no doubt be a rush of downloads that day.

btw: that means you’ll be able to use that Gold Subscription for other games and features as well during the demo period

Bethesda reveals Content Creation Kit video for Skyrim

So you’ve worked through Skyrim and you’re hoping for easier ways to get mods or even create your own? Today Bethesda releases their first teaser on the Content Creation Kit for Skyrim, it will be arriving soon via Steam as a freebie to work with. Still we lack a hard date on the release but it’s still good news for the community to have some official tools to work with and a great level of mod ability outside of just the graphic packs. Time to get to work on all of those new stories and worlds!

DiRT Showdown is coming soon for you guys bringing a new twist on the DiRT universe, stepping away from the rally theme, the new game will bring rough racing for everyone to battle through. Check out this new trailer coming from Codemasters. If it’s caught your eye, you only have to wait until May to get your hands on it for the PS3/360 and PC.

Steam mobile beta arrives on mobile devices!

Always wanted to stay in touch with your Steam friends online? Have you wished you could be at a PC to make use of a sale going on? Now you can, Steam has gone mobile on iOS and Android devices in beta form. All you need is a Steam account and you can get on the list for the… Closed Beta. Yes that means you can download the app but you’ll have to wait until the invites start rolling out for them to allow you in the door. We’re even holding out for the next wave to roll out for deeper impressions on this piece of goodness.

Keep in mind this also uses Steam Guard so you’ll need access to your email account registered to get fully authenticated. Further details are pretty much locked away to the preview screens they’ve launched so far. We’ll keep you posted once we get into the beta and can actually use it a little. South Park: The Game gets a slew of screens and art!

Prepare for a media blast of epic proportions. We have a ton of new art and screens for the new South Park title from THQ today. For those that haven’t followed it, Obsidian is working hard to give possibly one of the most complete and technically accurate South Park titles to date. It’s a heck of a task given the past history for the series but I have high hopes for the game which launches later this year.

In the meantime enjoy the assets!

Normally I’m sketchy about most tutorials, mainly because you never actually see the work going on. In the Instructable they promoted today you actually get the hard guide and a video tutorial of the stages to complete the thing. Keep in mind this requires a steady hand and some soldering skills to get it right.

Also you might need to investigate where to buy the parts to begin with, I’ve dug around briefly and found these. I know X-Arcade doesn’t have the best rep for competition but I’m throwing it out there for those who just want the bundle to get rolling.

Update – Gotham City Impostors pushed back to February

So we’ve heard about Gotham City Impostors for a while now, unfortunately today we hear a sad tale from WB where the game is been pushed back to February now with no specific date of when to expect it.

It’s an unfortunate setback for the game as it is set to pit 12 players head to head in mock super hero and super villain teams using licensed material from the Batman franchise of course. Xbox, Playstation and PC users will be able to get access to the game as a downloadable title and battle it out to their heart’s content. I saw the game in action at E3 2011 and it looked decent enough but unfortunately we’ll have to hold out a while longer to see if it’s worth jumping into.

Day 14: The Steam Holiday Sale Encore

Yes it’s the fabled day, the end of the great sale of Steam. But it’s huge and you’re going to love what they just brought out.

Missed Skyrim? No problem. Missed Arkham City? No problem. Check out the list and feel the love.

As you can see, they’re blowing out as much crazy goodness as they can, you have another 3.5 hours to still get the games from yesterday too such as Hitman. Score up while you can, you wont see something remotely like this until the summer sale.

For final objectives, there are none, go out and capture everything you’ve missed!
