Naoki Maeda graces DDR fans in LA this week

Yes the legend of the DDR community is coming across the ocean for a one night event including DDR stations and a special DJ set that he’ll hold for those attending the event. For many this may be the only time they ever get to see the artist at work.

Dance Dance Revolution for the PS3 and Wii will be available and DanceMasters for Xbox Kinect will also be available. Competitions and free play will be open for everyone to get in on if they RSVP right away.

Video Games Live invades PBS

For those that love video game music from any generation, Video Games Live should be something to check out. From Contra to the latest Civilization games the orchestra and guest soloists blow minds away with their interpretations of each song.

From July – August PBS stations will be airing Video Games Live as part of their special programming.  The CD and DVD/Blu-ray will also be available through November 1st 2010. The CD will feature 16 select tracks while the DVD and Blu-ray run over 3 hours of bonus material with extended segments and interviews.

Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds US Tour hits California

It’s that time of the year again, Final Fantasy is touring through symphonies all over bringing memories of adventures past to the masses. This week Nobuo Uematsu will greet the San Francisco Symphony on two nights with two different programs, also starring Susan Calloway, MARIA, DRACO and DANCING MAD.

It’s another Rock Band DLC update

Harmonix has stuck to the idea of weekly updates with determination. This week they bring out The Vines and Sweet Billy Pilgrim to the 360/Wii/PS3 stores.

Def Jam Rapstar – You Don’t know rap challenge

With Def Jam Rapstar still months away, the crew wants everyone to keep the game fresh in the minds of everyone as E3 starts to fade away. The challenge has five levels and timed questions about rap history, lyrics, history, slang and more are all fair game. As players progress the game rises in difficulty to leave only the strongest standing.

X Japan rocking Club Nokia July 1 for Free

The Yoshiki Foundation made a huge announcement in regard to X Japan, the group will be performing at Club Nokia this week for free! This will also fall with the current rivalry developing between Anime Expo 2010 (AX2010) and MAX 2010 already set at Club Nokia on July 1.
