News – Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger finds a cast and release date!

Marvel has finally found a cast for its live action Cloak & Dagger series, back in 2011 Jeph Loeb reported the show was in the works and in 2016 it was finally green-lighted by Freedom a Disney–ABC Television Group division of Walt Disney, the network is geared towards teens and young adults.

Joe Pokaski is the creator and show-runner, the show its self will be set in the post Hurricane Katrine New Orleans instead of its comic counterpart New Year city. As for the cast, both cast members Olivia Holt and Audrey Joseph are relatively unknown. It’s been stated that the show will be included with the Marvel cinematic universe along with the other TV shows.

Cloak & Dagger will be a coming-of-age series about Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson who come from different backgrounds, one from a privileged upbringing and other from the inner city, the two run into one another and together suffer a life changing experience which eventually causes the two to need one another.

The show is set for a winter 2018 release for the Freedom channel.

The highy Anticipated Season 6 of Game of Thrones is right around the corner!!!

HBO’s highly anticipated season 6 of the hit television show Game of thrones is right around the corner, the big question most fans are looking forward to be answered is. Is John Snow truly dead? This isn’t just a question TV viewers asked but also book readers, In fact most readers like myself was wondering how and if George R.R. Martin would finished the The Winds of Winter & A Dream of Spring before season 6, that was answer when HBO announced season 6’s filming in late July of 2015, Surely George R.R. Martin had to approve of this move, HBO doesn’t have any material to use since books 6 & 7 haven’t dropped yet, But again that was also answer when leaked news of the new season confirmed it will be using book 6 material.screenshot-419

The news got everyone ecstatic and the theories fans have of certain characters could possibly be answer or debunked, one things is for certain, we will find out Jon Snows fate and for book readers The Battle of Meereen and The Battle for the North, While there’s a list of questions that need answers in the book, as for TV, viewers are focus on Jon snow and the White Walkers.
arya game of thrones season 6This season is setting up to create a buzz much like the first season, HBO should be expecting a huge jump in viewership, each trailer so far for season 6 has hit over a 8 million viewer mark so it’s safe to say that people are ready the Game of Thrones greatness, the good thing is that fans don’t have to wait long with the season premiering April 24, book readers on the other hand have no true release date.

Chuck Original Soundtrack arriving April 7th

While Chuck wrapped up in 2012, fans get a treat in April with the OST release for the series, featuring original score tracks and performances by Jeffster and Vik Sahay. A few key tracks will include “Take on Me”, “Fortunate Son”, “Fat Bottom Girls” and two bonus tracks of “Leaving on a Jet Plane” and “Mr. Roboto” from Jeffster.

the-last-naruto-movie-svkpe3w

On December 6, 2014 Masashi Kishimoto released the final Naruto movie: Za Rasuto: Naruto za Mūbī ake The Last: Naurto the Movie and that short amount of time the movie has already made 515 Million Yen making it the #1 movie in japan, when you break it down in US money it adds up around 4.27 Million, in just two days the film over took the previous Road to Ninja total box office numbers, you can guarantee that number will continue to shoot up as the year finishes.

News of a United States release has not been stated but I’m sure Studio Pierrot will announced something around the end of the year.

Their betrayals no longer a secret and an alliance being the one thing that can help them avoid certain defeat. It’s certainly going to be a heavy dose of narrative given everything that’s up in the air so we’ll just need to keep an eye out for the teasers to see how it might all pan out.

From Starz:

“Black Sails” season one set a STARZ viewership record for a debuting STARZ Original series during its opening weekend in January 2014, established an average of 5.3 million viewers per episode*, and is distributed in about 130 countries and territories worldwide. As blood is spilled, and tensions mount, Charles Vane (Zach McGowan) must decide which he values more: Eleanor’s life, or the respect of his men. And unbeknownst to all of them, a prize of immeasurable value has already been smuggled onto the island … one whose discovery will alter the very landscape of their world, and force everyone in Nassau toward the ultimate judgment: are they men, or are they monsters?

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (PC) Thoughts

The latest installment of Naruto Shippuden has landed for console and PC players, the dream match installment is a filler arc for gaming that aims to pit legends against legends in a new battle format to spice things up while players wait for the larger story arc in the manga to reach a milestone that allows the developers to reach a strong release, possibly even the final depending on how this goes down.

img003

That out of the way, how does it stack up? Well in regard to story, it’s pretty lacking, the slight story modes available are limited to large sections of cut-scenes and the tournament story mode is generally lacking, the Mecha Naruto story is a unique twist but it leaves lots of questions and suffers from running errands endlessly to pass the time. While it introduces some of the things to expect later in the tournament (oh those filler tasks) it’s not exactly a welcome thing.

Graphically the game held up strong, no dips in the gameplay and while the game was locked to 30fps, given the integration for video and audio pacing, it’s somewhat understandable as many titles can go very bad when the framerate is modified. Sync issues can kill the enjoyment and if for now it’s the case they need to lock things then so be it. It’s playable and smooth during battles and given the amount of action there’s no point where the limit stands out heavily.

img002

The immersion was strong with the game, visually and acoustically the game brings home the effect of the Naruto series, we’re at a point with shading where anime style animation and details are possible to clone what so many are used to seeing each week in the show. Bandai Namco has reached a great pinnacle with the engine and hopefully they’ll be able to apply that to other licenses in the future or take it even further on next-gen platforms.

Overall it’s a fun run when it comes to versus battles and grinding out matches with tough AI in tournaments, survival and other modes but there’s a large part of the experience missing with the story mode essentially dead. For those looking to pick it up, it’s something I would say to get on sale if possible, it’s a heavy investment at 50+, I picked it up just under 39 with discounts from Steam and it felt like a fair shake at that price point.
