If you haven’t heard yet CW has picked up the Green Arrow Series it was originally announced on may 11, 2012 and is set to premiere this fall, this will be DC’s second comic book hero show on the CW. With Smallville having 10 seasons of up and down ratings, and the way CW is going on Show cancelling spread I don’t expect this series to last long. But for what its worth the show does look interesting just check out the trailer!

Starring: Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow,Colin Donnell as Tommy Merlyn,Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance

Cyclops are seen regrouping in the X-Diasoira classified location, where he divides the team into small group of two, he then orders them to search in different location for Hope, the first group consist of Magneto,Psylocke, Boom Boom are order to Wundagore the second group Namor, Sunspot, Hezibah to Tabula Rasa.

Meanwhile on Tabula Rasa, Montana a creature that looks like one the night people is given medical attention to one of his own, but is distrated when hears a impact so he quickly takes off the impact site. At the crash site a team of three Avengers Luke Cage, Thing and She-Hulk are exploring the surrounding area trying to locate the signal of Hope that directs them to a Cave. As they walk inside the cave the creature arrives and comments on how the three of them are similar to X-Men. Somewhere on Tabula Rasa Sunspot and Hezibah are waiting for Namor who returns form under water with help. Back in the Cave the Avengers are fighting a giant worm like creature and its little worm like minions, with ease they quickly dispose of the worms in and outside the Cave but are met by the X-Men and the battle begins with the creature form before looking on.

Uncanny X-Men #12 is a really solid issue with good fight sequence especially the fight between Namor and Thing. Kieron Gillen and Greg Land do a excellent job in my opinion making two minor unattractive characters look like bad-asses. Gillen also slips in alittle humor noticeably when Hezibah humorously asks the water creature queen if Namor is any good in bed, with that said Uncanny X-Men#12 is a definite pick up for those following the AvX series.

Time for a flashback and flash forward through the AvX universe, Avengers 26 attempts to elaborate on what has been going on in the series so far and it attempts to make some sense of the slaughter from Secret Avengers that we saw a few weeks ago. For those who followed that story, this might not make a lot of sense but it’s something that happens when you attempt to retell what’s already long inscribed into the story.

Captain America needs some heroes that can put it all on the line in a suicide mission, the Earth is in danger and they need to contain or stop the Phoenix if at all possible. He picks a select group of heroes for that task and sends them into the great beyond hoping for the best even though the worst seems inevitable no matter who goes up there. Everyone has a moment to say goodbye and we see some personal struggles to highlight the moment itself, it’s a hard reality that none of them could come back to the planet after this battle.

The story jumps forward to their conflict and dances through the struggle and drama of the battle, in this we see some slight story alterations a massive spoiler skip and a continuation of the battle into a new area that was lost from Secret Avengers, new hope is found from the team and things look incredibly positive until some of the deeper seeded prequel stories start coming into play. As a galactic superpower, everyone wants control of the Phoenix and even the tightest friendships or alliances can’t stop those desires from coming full circle. Betrayal strikes and the team is torn over the moves that come next. Hopefully this extended arc gets more elaboration though, it still fails to connect to AvX #4 directly and it leaves out a huge twist from Secret Avengers #26.

As a retelling, it’s okay and it’s a bit awkward in how it jumps around the existing story that was written, it’s hard to write over what was already said and established in a story. The new twist doesn’t even connect to the existing AvX arc which makes matters worse as we’re left to guess where all these pieces are coming into play and if we’re going to start moving to future stories ahead of the main arc in the same week. In the art area the treatment of many characters is a bit… poor, I look at Thor and Ms. Marvel and even Captain America and wonder what on Earth happened to their faces as the book takes off. The consistency changes somewhat through the rest of the issue but it’s just a hard hit to see characters morphed out as they are.

The hunt for Hope is on, the X-Men and the Avengers are out in full force but are they too late to the punch?

Writer: Johnathan Hickman
Pencils: John Romita Jr.
Inks: Scott Hanna
Published by: Marvel Comics

As we close in on the end of Act 1 Hope closes in on her goal of trying to harness the Phoenix Force, she’s been busy in her escape and side travels aiming to harness the power for this second generation of mutants across the planet. When we left off everyone was still slugging it out physically and politically after the initial clash went down on Utopia.

Readers get to join the story with Wolverine trying to make his way back to anything familiar, lost in Antarctica after Captain America booted him from the plane he’s struggling in the frozen land. Of course it’s not all so bad as he stumbles upon some supplies and the last person he figured he would run into during this mess, in a moment he goes from lone wolf to hero in a single moment. Unfortunately for Hope, being his savior and friend doesn’t earn you much credit in a conflict this large or with a man who has this much conviction to see you dead for the good of all.

Unfortunately it’s in this we see some issues as a larger story scope, in Wolverine’s side story he was back at the Jean Grey School during the blip in AvX 3, if that all took place somehow during a fraction of a moment I guess it’s possible but a bit unlikely. On top of that we see one of the deep space team members return but it also conflicts with the story we know so far (it’s apparently tied into this weeks Avengers #26). For those following the global arc it’s a bit of a break in the read to see things being shuffled around as they are, it’s not a bad result but it feels odd to see them jumping ahead so much and leaving everything else to fix and catch up.

As a whole Avengers vs X-Men sets the stage for a huge showdown again with a missed calculation by the Avengers, this whole time they’ve been rushing against the clock but it seems they lost track of that clock entirely. As they showdown on the moon for Hope they see it’s far too late and the mutant side is about to get a massive boost to their firepower if the mutant messiah can really tame the beast. For those wondering though, it’ll be a 3 week break this time until we see the next installment leading to the conclusion of Act 1.

After trying everything to get his wife Audrey (Olivia Munn) pregnant, Tommy Macklin (Paul Schneider) realizes to his horror that he may be “shooting blanks.” Terrified that his marriage may fall apart, Tommy recruits his friends (and an Indian ex-mobster) to rob a sperm bank where he made a deposit years ago. As with any half-baked scheme, everything can and does go wrong, testing the limits of Tommy and Audrey’s relationship. THE BABYMAKERS is a hilarious twist on the heist film genre, a laugh-out loud comedy showing how far one couple will go in hopes of creating a new life.

A source recently gave up the details on Dice/EA Elite style service for Battlefield 3. Source’s say that the “Battlefield Premium” will offer players unique in-game items such as new soldier camo patterns, weapon camo, black dog tag and personalization options, all this and more will be apparent on June 4 the day before E3

With Call of Duty Elite subscription service having 2 million subscribers Dice and EA would be crazy not to offer there own Elite service. Although Elite subscription hasn’t been confirm but only rumored for now a Premium subscription isn’t a bad idea! They already release a patch which gives players the option to pay $30 to unlock all items.

In the last issue we took an adventure through K’un Lun as prophecy unveiled a new Iron Fist to take on the great battle against the Phoenix, while there wasn’t much to say on it the new soul would in fact be Hope, the one who prophecy showed could shape and control the force with the right power. The story resumes with Hope training vigorously to master the techniques and skills needed to battle and harness the Phoenix Force, of course some new guests join to watch and help guide this process which has the entire nation on end. If the Earth falls so does everyone in K’un Lun, this bid with the Iron Fist is the only thing they feel can protect the realm and the mortal world.

For those hoping to see some higher activity over the last issue, there is a large boost that comes along in this story, outside of the mystery guests that come up we also see Hope engage in training to be a proper candidate for the title and power of Iron Fist. The story shows her endless determination and fury within, even though the force is closing in she makes no break in devoting all of her power into this intense regimen. The story is pretty concentrated here and having a renaissance man suddenly appear to make next generation constructs is about the only thing that really throws a wrench into any of this for a double take moment.

The story is evolving and we’ll have to see where it all goes, we have heroes from all areas uniting to help The Avengers and the X-Men in all of this madness and many of them just trying to aid Hope in whatever her pursuit is. The tension and arms race is growing rapidly and we’ll find out where it all goes in the upcoming story lines.

Unexpected guests are always a good spin for a series, unexpected fugitives are another story, especially when you were fighting all of them just a short while ago in a heated group battle. Wolverine heads to the front to sort out the new guests while tensions stir between students and instructors with their guests getting a bit physical. The book isn’t 100% based on the conflict, we see growing struggles with Angel and the students continue forward and everyone trying to figure out who this new personality is.

Given the past issues it was a shock to see Wolverine and the X-Men #10 taking such a unique detour compared to past installments in this AvX side story, it actually brings unique development that adds to the X-Men storyline and their reinforcements. While Wolverine felt those who joined his school would be there exclusively to his decisions and command he’s met with a hard reality that when it comes to mutants and the X-Men, everyone will follow their own personal beliefs just as they always have. We get a huge teaser in this issue of how the forces will expand and we also see a return of the Death Commandos from the Shi’ar and their clear agenda of destruction no matter who gets in the way. It’s a great lead in for the wider picture building up and helps break it away from just the direct dispute of Cap, Iron Man and Cyclops butting heads.
