ComiXology and Marvel Announce Digital Comics Purchases Will Now Sync Across Both ComiXology and Marvel Accounts…

 Today comiXology, the revolutionary digital comics platform, and Marvel Entertainment, one of the world’s most prominent character-based entertainment companies, announced that consumers can now sync their purchases between comiXology’s platform and the Marvel-branded digital storefronts on iOS, Android and the Web.

Customers with Marvel purchases on separate Marvel and comiXology accounts can sync previous and future purchases by logging into the their comiXology account and visiting https://www.comixology.com/marvel-sync. Customers will be prompted to enter their Marvel account information to sync the two accounts. The purchased comics will then be available to read on the Marvel Comics app, and will also appear on the comiXology platform across iOS, Android and the Web.

“This is just another step towards providing the best customer experience for all comic buyers no matter where they buy their Marvel comics,” said comiXology co-founder and CEO David Steinberger. “Fans can now not only read all their Marvel purchases on their Marvel Comics app and comiXology app and use both apps to get the latest can’t-miss super hero epics every week.”

comiXology and Archaia partner up for digital comics

comiXology is a slow-growing giant in the comic marketplace, today they expand their reach just a bit more as they partner with Archaia to release digital first products and same day digital availability as print releases. Given the reach of comiXology across iOS, Android and the web it’s not surprising to see them still pushing on for those last key partners to their reach.

Love that Joker… a 99 cent DC Digital Comics Sale for April Fools weekend

The Joker is a curious guy, robbing for everyone and giving to whoever he pleases, usually himself in most cases. This weekend he’ll help DC push out over 80 issues that have him as a feature star in them for only 99 cents. It’s a 3-Day sale so don’t worry about missing out, just be sure to catch the issues when they go on sale tomorrow (March 31).

comiXology giving away The Walking Dead Vol. 1 free at ECCC 2012

Going to Emerald City Comicon? Yes we’ve asked this before, this time it serves as an even bigger boost, if you’re headed out to the show stop by comiXology at booth #308 for a free copy of The Walking Dead Vol. 1 to make your very own. If you have your phone on you it can be redeemed on the spot and you can start reading when you take a break from cruising the floor. They did this at Wondercon and while it was first come first serve they had plenty of cards to hand out to curious attendees, keep in mind they are noting only 2,500 copies will be available at the con so grab them while you can for a giant dose of zombie goodness.

Middle of the week, comics are releasing and your wallet is crying, well DC is making things a little easier by offering SHAZAM! Chapter 1 for free today if you sign up on their digital service.
