Looking to boost the unique cover art in your collections? Fox Home Entertainment has that covered with the re-release of 13 major cult horror films for October, movies like The Silence of the Lambs, The Amityville Horror, Carrie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 and more all grace the stage with really amazing art, you can actually catch samples of the art from Skuzzles below. I know I’m already debating which ones to pick up, it’s really cool when groups like this get to work on especially unique projects like these. The full snapshot from Skuzzles on the project is below.
At Skuzzles, we really want to offer artists the opportunity to work on titles they’re passionate about. We try to direct and pair artists where the it seems fit, but ultimately we want the artist to have equal say in how the art is executed. The goal is to keep the end result as close to the artists original vision as possible. Having said this, here’ s a little bit of feedback from the artists regarding their concepts behind the artwork:
Todd Slater:Invasion of the Body Snatchers – “What if the pod with the flower was shaped similar to a sternum in a ribcage (it’s really close now) and the white tendrils expand and extend from the pod to form more of the ribs and skeleton? The background could be deep dark outer space. My thought is that *the pods are building a new you*.”
Randy Ortiz:Silence of the Lambs – “…I wanted to go a more symbolic route and have it be clean and classy.”
Dan Mumford:Last house on the left – “… I found the scene where Mari walks into the water to be quite haunting and probably the most pivotal moment, so i worked from that and created quite a haunting still moment based around the lake she walks into. We also have two of the murderers standing there and her necklace dangling down with the smallest hint of blood red seeping through.”
Jason Edmiston:Child’s Play – “For my Child’s Play art, I wanted to show Chucky’s maniacal character, at the pinnacle of his power. I love the black magic quality of the movie, and tried to capture the killer doll in mid-chant, surrounded by crazy voodoo lightning, He scared me when I first saw this movie as a teen, and I wanted my cover art to evoke the same feeling. Most of the Child’s play art is dark, with a black background. I thought my brightly lit piece would stand out from previous iterations.”
“Ghoulish” Gary Pulin: The Amityville Horror – “I just really went down the rabbit hole playing up different variables with the windows and the passage way to hell they find in the basement, but I’m happy with the graphic, iconic approach we landed on for the cover. When I reversed the shot of the house into the white negative space, it’s features of it really seemed to jump out. I knew I wanted to do something with the flies as well, so it seemed to make sense that they make up the portrait of James Brolin, as he goes through a transformation from good natured to an evil presence throughout the film.”
Carrie – “There’s a lot of ways you can go with a movie like Carrie but I wanted to focus on the intensity of the final scene and her rage filled eyes (if you look close they are fire balls). The silhouette of the knife is a nod to her insane mother and the control she’s unable to keep over her.”
Teen Wolf – This was a silk-screened poster I had created with Skuzzles previously and I’m really excited to see it become the face for an official release of the film. I hope I made Stiles proud.
It was an absolute pleasure to work on this project with everyone involved. Don’t forget to checkout the other works of each artist by visiting their website! We couldn’t be happier with the end result, and we really hope collectors enjoy these as much as we do. Let us know what you think!

You’ve seen a million shows where heroes go toe-to-toe, now feast your eyes only the only anime where hot girls with super powers settle their differences chest-to-chest!
Minato had no luck with the ladies until the day a well-rounded warrior babe named Musubi fell into his life and crushed his face with her ginormous cleavage. Hunted by a stunning pair of twin sisters, Musubi was searching for the right guy to give her a squeeze and unlock the hidden powers lurking beneath her ample assets. Minato fit the bill, and now he’s caught in the middle of a supernatural slugfest where voluptuous vixens take turns beating each others’ clothes off! Only one of these bodacious brawlers will come out on top, but the unbridled excitement of watching them go at it makes this utterly-fulfilling series the breast action-harem anime of all time!
What would you do if you found out you were an ashikabi like Minato?

For those unfamiliar, LiSA made her hits with shows like Angel Beats as the vocals for Yui when singing, also her single Oath sign was chosen for Fate/Zero which helped shoot her into stardom.
Huge title says it all but I’ll try to elaborate anyway.
Funimation just announced their releases for next week and fans will be able to get a dose of anime in box set form. Okami-San and Her Seven Companions is the first dose of goodness coming with a special mousepad to accompany you. Keep in mind the perk is in limited quantity so order early so you don’t miss out, check out the picture to the right for a sample of the art included on it.
For those unfamiliar with the story we have a brief synopsis:
Once upon a time, the studio behind Toradora! and Shakugan no Shana created a fable-minded story full of fairy tale tomfoolery, attractive archetypes, allusions to allegories, parodies of para—ugh, enough alliteration! You get my drift…
Ryoko Ōkami, the “wolf” of our story, and her BFF Ringo, also known as Little Red Riding Hood, are members of Otogi Bank—a high school club that helps classmates out of grim situations. One day, a meek young man proclaims his love to Ryoko, who does nothing but bite him in return. “You’re much too weak for me,” she huffs. So the boy joins Otogi Bank to prove he has the stuff to protect his beloved—even if it means taking a blow to the head with a lead pipe. He’s no Prince Charming, but will Ryoko allow herself to have her own happily ever after?
Not a bad setup but April 3rd also brings extra perks with Black Butler Seasons 1 and 2 in Blu-ray/DVD combo packaging. If you’ve been hoping for an HD experience with Sebastian and Ciel in HD then you’re in luck as it should be available through major retailers soon or if you’re eager to order right now just hit Amazon and Rightstuf for the goods.
If none of those grab your interest I suggest checking out the Funimation Amazon.com sale going on where titles are going over 50% off in many cases. Time to stock up while you can!

November 1st marks the date of an epic 8 episode feature for Voltron. Classic Media plans to launch this remastered DVD with some of the most epic battles in the history of Season 1. The Omega Comet, Dark Doom Castle and more all await eager Voltron fans!
For those collecting the entire series in box set form, this might not be as amazing of a find, for casual collectors using Netflix though, this brings out some of the more epic battles in the shows history.
Top 5 new powers of Voltron Force – The biggest and baddest new features of Nicktoons’ new series Voltron Force
Netflix managed to enrage quite a few users with their most recent price adjustment, going from 7.99 to 9.99 to 15.98 a month. Today a mass advertisement masked as an apology was sent out to the masses, the point pushed Netflix needed to do such a thing to ensure their success in the market.
With that said, Qwikster plans to offer Blu-Ray discs, DVD’s and also video games in their service. If GameFly users should be concerned is unknown, with the site still under wraps it’s hard to say how solid of an alternative it will be. The plan is to roll out PS3, 360 and Wii games as primary formats. Pricing plans seem unknown at the time, the only notice is that just like Blu-Ray, gaming will have to be added onto the basic service itself. A downer for those who don’t have any desire to use the DVD system and an even bigger hit to PS3 owners who will end up having to pay for both to make the most of their systems.
Why am I critical about the email itself? Companies roll out new services all the time, they do so with detailed intent and plans to earn trust and build hype. Netflix decided to use old techniques often run in newspapers, an apology campaign to get users to tihnk about them in a new light. Instead of just bringing out the change as bluntly as they did the cost changes, they went in circles naming off the now bankrupt Borders and the dead age of AOL dial-up service to reinforce why they did what they did. It’s poor form and they’re pretending like the consumer is too foolish to know otherwise about them.
There are plenty of companies that look down on their consumers, I never thought Netflix would make it so blunt.
Wasting no time to hit retail after killing at the box office, Iron Man 2 is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on September 28th. Blu-ray owners will get a 1080p mastered film with 5.1 DTS-HD and Dolby Digital support for multiple languages. DVD owners will catch a 16:9 mastered video with Dolby Digital 5.1 support for multiple languages and subtitle support.
We’ll go through the breakdown by format to eliminate confusion.
