The highy Anticipated Season 6 of Game of Thrones is right around the corner!!!

HBO’s highly anticipated season 6 of the hit television show Game of thrones is right around the corner, the big question most fans are looking forward to be answered is. Is John Snow truly dead? This isn’t just a question TV viewers asked but also book readers, In fact most readers like myself was wondering how and if George R.R. Martin would finished the The Winds of Winter & A Dream of Spring before season 6, that was answer when HBO announced season 6’s filming in late July of 2015, Surely George R.R. Martin had to approve of this move, HBO doesn’t have any material to use since books 6 & 7 haven’t dropped yet, But again that was also answer when leaked news of the new season confirmed it will be using book 6 material.screenshot-419

The news got everyone ecstatic and the theories fans have of certain characters could possibly be answer or debunked, one things is for certain, we will find out Jon Snows fate and for book readers The Battle of Meereen and The Battle for the North, While there’s a list of questions that need answers in the book, as for TV, viewers are focus on Jon snow and the White Walkers.
arya game of thrones season 6This season is setting up to create a buzz much like the first season, HBO should be expecting a huge jump in viewership, each trailer so far for season 6 has hit over a 8 million viewer mark so it’s safe to say that people are ready the Game of Thrones greatness, the good thing is that fans don’t have to wait long with the season premiering April 24, book readers on the other hand have no true release date.

Dark Horse Unveils The Game Of Thrones White Walker Statue!

GOT WHITE WALKER 01 HR

This highly anticipated collectible featured in

Diamond Comics Distributors’ September-dated PREVIEWS catalog!

Following its “sneak” debut to the industry at this year’s Toy Fair International, Game of Thrones fans have been clamoring for an official release date, and images of HBO and Dark Horse’s White Walker statue.

Arriving at finer comic shops, bookstores, and specialty retailers on December 18, 2013, the White Walker is a hand-painted, numbered limited edition collectible. Each bust is packaged in full-color collector box, will include a numbered certificate of authenticity. Retail price is $124.99.

White Walkers, or the Others, are a fierce mythological race who are seldom seen as they lurk and prey in their land in the frozen north of Westeros. The Wall was constructed ages ago to keep them isolated.  This evil creature speaks in cracked tones and brandishes a deadly icy weapon, as immortalized in this beautiful collectible piece.

“The first appearance of the White Walker was the climax of the show’s second season,” Dark Horse’s David Scroggy recalled. “We thought that would be a perfect image to seize. We used exotic resins to simulate his ice spear, and will also re-create the striking blue luminosity of his piercing eyes. Game of Thrones is one of the best television sagas ever, and we owe it to the audience to capture every detail. Hopefully, we’ve succeeded.”

Game Of Thrones Collectibles From Dark Horse!

 DARK HORSE UNVEILS TYRION STATUE

THE LATEST ADDITION TO THE

GAME OF THRONES® COLLECTIBLES LINE!

When looking for a key moment to immortalize as the second sculptural piece in Dark Horse’s highly coveted line of Game of Thrones collectibles, Dark Horse turned to none other than writer/producers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for the most “statueworthy” moment in the then-unaired second season.

The two chose the memorable scene when Tyrion, as portrayed by Peter Dinklage, charges into battle, leading the defense of King’s Landing against an assault by King Stannis Baratheon in the Battle of the Blackwater. They further assisted with special photographic reference taken during filming, expressly for use as sculpture reference for the piece.

“When Dark Horse Deluxe began developing a new line of collectibles based on the HBO® adaptation of Game of Thrones, we were pleased to discover we had the full attention of all involved, from the team at HBO Global Licensing to the principals steering in the production,” said Dark Horse’s VP of Product Development, David Scroggy. “The Tyrion statue is a benefit of that communication, and we know the fans and collectors will recognize the quality that is the result.”

Dark Horse is currently offering the statue to the trade for advance order. The Tyrion statue will be issued in a limited run, with the final edition size undetermined at press time.

This detailed figure measures approximately 10 inches in height and 9.5 inches across its base, which features Tyrion’s cast-aside helmet and other painstakingly re-created details.

Hand painted and numbered, the Game of Thrones Tyrion statue will come packaged in a deluxe full-color box.

Fans of the series can view a “Making of the Tyrion Lannister statue” video on the Dark Horse Blog.

Look for these statues to arrive in stores on February 20, 2013, with a suggested retail price of $199.99

The “Game Of Thrones” Season 3 (SDCC 2012)

If you where at this years Comic-Con 2012 Game Of Thrones Panel for season 3 then you’ll know everything I’m about to say, but if you didn’t attend this years con listen up.

The “Game of Thrones” Comic-Con panel brought in a packed house to the massive Hall H. With Author George R.R. Martin acting as moderator, stars Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Rose Leslie (Ygritte) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and producer Carolyn Strauss all talked about Season 3.  The panel kicked off with the announcement of the New Season 3 cast:

  • Diana Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell. Also known as “The Queen of Thorns,” Lady Olenna is the grandmother of Margaery and Loras Tyrell and is, in many ways, the true leader of their powerful family.
  • Mackenzie Crook as Orell. A wildling raider, Orell is a “warg” or “skinchanger,” with the ability to enter the mind of an animal and control its actions.
  • Clive Russell as Bryndon “The Blackfish” Tully. Known far and wide as “The Blackfish,” Brynden is a famous knight and the uncle of Catelyn Stark. He quarreled bitterly with his brother, Lord Hoster Tully, and the two were estranged for many years.
  • Nathalie Emannuel as Missandei. Originally from the peaceful island of Naath, Missandei was sold into slavery as a child, along with her brother. She received education in various languages and became a translator to the slave trader Kraznys in Astapor.
  • Kerry Ingram as Shireen Baratheon, the only child of Stannis Baratheon. An avid reader, she escapes her lonely life through myths and stories – her books are her most treasured possessions.
  • Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr. A key member of the outlaw band known as the Brotherhood Without Banners, he is a Red Priest, in service of the Lord of Light, and originally hails from the Free City of Myr, in Essos.
  • Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jojen Reed, a mysterious and enigmatic young man who becomes an important ally to Bran Stark.
  • Ellie Kendrick as Meera Reed. The eldest daughter of Howland Reed and a staunch Stark loyalist, Meera and her younger brother Jojen seek out Bran Stark to protect him on his hard journey north.
  • Richard Dormer as Beric Dondarrion. Once the lord of Blackhaven and a celebrated warrior, Lord Beric has now become the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, a band of vigilante outlaws.
  • Kristofer Hivju as Tormund Giantsbane. A famed wildling warrior and chief lieutenant of the “King Beyond the Wall,” Mance Rayder, Tormund is fearsome and strong, with a large build and a beard to match.
  • Philip McGinley as Anguy, an extremely skilled archer and key member of the outlawband known as the Brotherhood Without Banners.
  • Tara Fitzgerald as Selyse Baratheon. The wife of Stannis Baratheon, Selyse spends much of her life in seclusion, shut away in a gloomy tower.
  • Tobias Menzies as Edmure Tully. The younger brother of Catelyn Stark, Edmure has recently become Lord of Riverrun in the wake of his father’s death.
  • Anton Lesser as Qyburn, a former maester of the Citadel, who was stripped of his chain many years ago.

Martin opened the panel by cracking a joke about the SNL sketch about the 13-year-old kid who made sure the TV series has plenty of boobies.  Then long video recaping season 2 was shown.  Afterwards, we got a look at the actors who are playing new characters in season 3.  We didn’t see them in character or in costume, and it was each actor and actress saying who they were playing and how excited they were to be part of the show. In the end the panel wasn’t all that great in some areas for the simple fact George R.R. Martin was not a good moderator he lacked energy like he was going through the motions. Some of that missing energy came when it was time for Q&A, but if your a fan of the series and bummed out that you missed the panel don’t be you didn’t miss much that’s if you where looking for any other major announcements.
