Image keeps the sell out streak running strong, the new collaboration between Jonathan Ross & Bryan Hitch has gone back to the printers to meet the demand for this breakout comic. As with SECRET they’ll release this one back at shops on May 9th giving a week to read and catch up before #2 hits the following week on May 16th.
Bryan Hitch was obviously very excited at the news with this to say:
“AMERICA’S GOT POWERS marks a huge turning point for me as my first creator owned series,” Hitch commented. “The response has been overwhelming and there are so many other people to thank for helping to make the book such a success. I’m truly grateful to be telling the stories I’m passionate about and immensely proud that AGP has been greeted so warmly and so many have responded so kindly to Tommy and his fellow powered teens. Believe me, in this series and beyond, the best is still to come!”
We’re looking around at shops to find an issue to cover, once we do we’ll have a review of the hot comic out for everyone to check out. In the meantime we have the cover art which looks pretty enough.
Some background on America’s Got Powers:
AMERICA’S GOT POWERS is the story of the most successful TV show on Earth, a reality show of super-powered proportions. In AMERICA’S GOT POWERS, a generation of super-powered teens struggle to prove their worth while the whole world watches.

Jonathan Hickman just launched his second series today from Image Comics and it’s already in back order with distributors, SECRET #1 is a team effort with Ryan Bodenheim and just barely touched down for fans. The team is excited about the news and already talking about the news.
“Well, I couldn’t be happier for Ryan. He’s worked extremely hard on this project, and together we think we’ve delivered an extremely interesting, and timely, tale,” explained Hickman. “That retailers and fans are as excited for the book as we are, only makes the entire experience more rewarding.”
The second printing will arrive on the same day as SECRET #2 on May 9th so fans will have to hold out for a while if they can’t find it locally. We did manage to find a copy so we’ll have coverage soon for everyone on the new series.
In the meantime a little bit on SECRET
A complex tale of private security firms, government corruption, and conspiracy, SECRET comes out a month after Hickman’s new series with Nick Pitarra THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS sold out of its first issue.
