It’s going to be an economic showdown this week with Bill Maher

With presidential debates, singing candidates, the end of the Iraq war, revolutions, protest and a worldwide recession, Bill Maher is loaded with ammo in 2012. The continuation of HBO’s Emmy nominated Real Time With Bill Maher takes a stroll down the path of economics this week. Bill’s roundtable guests include Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor of The Economist, Reihan Salam, accomplished writer and policy analyst and the Reverend Al Sharpton, civil rights activist and all around analyst/commentator. Bill Maher paired with his guests this week will undoubtedly make for hilarious and poignant discussions about all things currently in the news.  So if you just want a laugh or you want to catch up on current events make sure and tune in!

For those scratching their heads on what could erupt. Maher is slamming these three together and seeing what comes out of the mashup.

  • The author of How Did We Get Into this Mortgage Mess, and How Do We Get Out?
  • An unorthodox conservative with strong support to Martin Feldstein of the Regan era and AIG
  • Reverend Al Sharpton, a civil rights activist and all around analyst/commentator sure to have some strong thoughts on the current economic climate
