The gem of racing about a decade ago was Hydro Thunder, for the Dreamcast it was a next generation assault that had players in a wet world. The details and boats and multiplayer made it addictive for all to experience, today we get wind that the game will take a second wind for XBLA. Hydro Thunder Hurricane is the first sequel, running on a new engine and graphics to make it a true successor while observing the features that made the original a success. Packing 8 tracks, single player modes, leaderboards and online support for 8, the potential of the new installment seems limitless. Coming in at 1200 Microsoft points the team hopes really capture the hearts of 360 owners in the Microsoft Summer of Arcade on July 28th. [gallery link="file" orderby="rand"]

July 7 marks the launch of the latest shooter from Ignition Entertainment, Blacklight: Tango Down. The shooter brings futuristic combat and incredible amounts of weapon combinations to players, all while maintaining a $15 package price. Those familiar with Unreal Tournament and the Modern Warfare series will find themselves at familiar with some aspects of the game. Combat is fast and frantic much like the Unreal series, the loadout and selections are structured like a MW game. I was able to preview Tango Down quite a few times this year, the game has an addictive quality for a dedicated online shooter. The Hypervisor allows for quick targetting while on the run, balancing out with no ability to go on the offense while it is activated. Custom loadouts mean that anyone can develop the best kit for each map. Those on the fence that are familiar with UT and MW should have no problem jumping into the action and ranking up in the virtual virtual combat field. [gallery link="file" orderby="rand"]

Sorry about the lapse, I don't exactly get how I missed uploading both of those and yet I cranked out 1-5 asap. As an added bonus I converted the video for regular web and HD. The prior videos were encoded at 720p in flash which may have slowed down some people or been completely worthless. I'll work on getting support up for Apple users soon. With that said let's see the final two clips of Chell navigating the hell that GLaDOS has created. Catch part 7 after the jump.
